take a picture of my eye

I had a shoot with this little redhead last week. Despite it being a chilly, foggy, windy San Francisco afternoon, he was totally spunky and effervescent. This super close-up was his idea, and I have to say, it's my favorite shot of the day!

gap casting call

Calling all cuties ages ten and under, Gap is having their annual casting call! This year, the winner(s) gets a Gap gift card worth $1,000, a photo shoot in San Francisco, and a trip to either NYC or Vegas to see the Lion King. Photos entered must have been taken in the last three months. Parents may have up to five submissions (so you could have five photos of one child or up to five entries including all children in the family).

This is a photo I took of a boy named Trevor who was a top ten finalist several years ago in this contest. Mom and I refer to it as "the jean jacket shot."

poster art

I've delved into new territory. I was asked to do a poster for an upcoming show at SOTA (San Francisco School of the Arts). The theme was Glam Rock so I decided I wanted to use platform boots. I found some at a thrift store and covered them with glitter and took a picture of some legs in the boots. Not saying who the legs belong to...

livie and luca

The new Livie and Luca fall line is out.
If you've got little ones, check-out these colorful shoes from an eco-friendly company founded and run by moms. I discovered while shooting for Livie and Luca that shooting creative product shots is really fun.

featured model: julian

Julian was recently signed with Stars in San Francisco. He was such a good sport with all the outfit changes for his shoot. And if you're wondering about that gorgeous sweater hoodie, it's from Tea Collection.

featured model: theo

Theo just turned 2 and is with Marla Dell Talent in San Francisco. He was a regular model for Macy's and has also worked for Leap Frog. I've photographed Theo twice now and both times he was so easy to work with, especially for his age. For our last shoot, we decided to work out of his home. I was immediately drawn to the funky door leading from the garden to the garage. Theo's dad said it was created by painters cleaning their brushes on the door!

sand

Now that my tagging book is finished, I'm shifting gears and doing lots of work at the seaside. If you live in the bay area have a child who doesn't mind getting sandy and wet and likes to play with slimy seaweed, please email me with a photo! Oh yeah, I like to shoot at sunrise on the beach...
